Senior Production Specialist

The role of the Senior Production Specialist is to ensure superb quality and accuracy of print-ready production files, flexible coordination of studio resources, and outstanding support in the completion of agency projects.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the drive and skills necessary to jump in and get their “hands dirty,” as well as the experience and insight to ensure the success of a growing studio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure meticulous production of prepress mechanicals
  • Execute accurate content and design revisions to current agency projects
  • Perform disk releases to vendors in accordance with internal procedures
  • Coordinate and communicate with outside agency resources (retouchers, PPT specialists)
  • Create and maintain branding guidelines to ensure consistency
  • Work closely with the Art Dept to ensure design integrity
  • Maintain and organize artwork libraries for each brand within the agency
  • Help develop and maintain studio processes to ensure efficient and accurate studio operations

Department & Supervisor:

The Senior Production Specialist will fall under the supervision of the Studio Manager or Director of Operations. Additionally, this role will work closely with the senior-most levels of the Art Dept to ensure seamless operations between departments.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of studio/production experience
  • A graphic design background (preferred)
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)
  • Familiarity with font management software
  • Complete comfort in working on a macOS computer
  • Ability to create and follow color breaks
  • Physical “comp” production skills (cutting, gluing, folding, binding, etc)
  • Agency experience (preferred)
  • Pharmaceutical experience (highly preferred)
