Account

Account Executive

The Account Executive is a junior member of the agency brand team and works closely with both the client and agency brand teams.  The AE manages the day-to-day business of the agency brand team and is responsible for the coordination and dissemination of client input to the team.  The AE is responsible for frequent client contact with brand management as well as the client support department (client finance manager, business manager, med/legal/reg coordinator, etc.)

Responsibilities include:

  • Owns, runs and delivers weekly client status reports and meetings, answers all client questions with informed and accurate responses
  • Maintains frequent and effective contact with members of the client brand team
  • Manages day-to-day execution of approved projects
  • As lead project manager on client projects, demonstrates ability to organize workload and workflow and adapts to changes
  • Provides direction to creative team based on client’s input
  • Maintains accurate records of agency/client contact and client direction
  • Ability to fairly and appropriately communicate between client and agency
  • Collaborate seamlessly with creative and strategic teams, writing briefs, evaluating work and providing feedback for revisions, as needed
  • Assist in the promotional planning process and manages daily execution of approved promotional plans
  • Demonstrate responsibility for quality control on all reports and documents, whether for clients or internal use
  • Accountable for the budgets of projects managed by having proactive, ongoing

Qualifications include, but not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of agency experience in healthcare and/or relevant Internship(s) in advertising, marketing or medical/healthcare communications agency

Account Supervisor

The Account Supervisor role is to demonstrate executional excellence while overseeing all phases of tactical development on the brand, including application of strategic direction. This person will serve as the day-to-day point of contact for internal and external team members.

Responsibilities include:
• Serve as a day-to-day client contact on assigned accounts under the guidance of the VP/AGS
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of product/category including key studies and competitive data
• Develops and maintains good working relationships with departments and personnel on the client side
• Understands the client corporate structure/culture
• Fosters team spirit and maintains positive momentum for the brand/client within the agency
• Ensures timely follow-up for projects/programs; oversees regular status meetings with agency & client
• Maintains a high level of professionalism with clients, outside vendors, and agency staff at all times
• Demonstrates forward thinking and vision on a brand level
• Oversees financial documentation: monitors estimates/invoices, reviews fee accountability tracking reports
• With consultation of VP/AGS, fiscally manages the brand (e.g., income forecasting and profitability)
• Generate new value-add ideas and opportunities to maximize communications results and/or anticipate issues, ensuring client program success

Education

  • 3+ year’s relevant industry experience (specifically, professional/HCP promotion experience, client-facing).

Creative

Art Supervisor

The Art Supervisor will partner with a copy lead to create a range of original images, concepts and designs to achieve creative excellence on behalf of the client, driving their assigned brand forward. They assist in overseeing junior members of the art team monitoring projects, delegating assignments and approving work. This person will work closely with copywriters, account, strategy, project managers, other art staff, to maintain brand consistency on all jobs. The Art Supervisor will also ensure that all work is on strategy, within budget, and contributes to growing the client’s business. Art Supervisors are responsible for delivering innovative, compelling creative solutions grounded in an understanding of the science, strategy, and goals of the assigned brand. Art Supervisors oversee project design all the way through execution. The position may require frequent client interaction and presentations and may require some travel. Reports to VP/ACD Art.

  • Partner with Copy Lead to turn critical strategic analysis into viable creative concepts
  • Act as brand steward maintaining the integrity and excellence of the brand materials developed
  • Concept and design integrated brand experiences for all mediums including print, experiential, mobile, responsive websites, videos, email and collateral
  • Effectively visualize and create concepts into an end-product, giving direction on photography style, imagery, typography, iconography and navigation optimized for the web
  • Successfully collaborate with copywriters, project managers, designers, strategists and developers from conception until launch
  • Follow established creative workflow to ensure adherence to deadlines and brand guidelines
  • Interact with clients with the goal of building relationships and understanding client vision/direction
  • Present designs and concepts internally to team and externally to clients
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of ever-changing design and typography trends
  • Supervise and mentor art directors
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of assigned therapeutic categories, science, competitive set, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in strategic promotional planning for assigned brands
  • Direct photographers, illustrators, and freelancers as needed
  • Assist creative director(s) with agency work, including new business, as needed
  • Keep supervisor or department head appraised of any workload challenges/concerns on assigned team accounts that may necessitate hiring freelancers or moving creatives around to better utilize their time.

Jr. Art Director

The Junior Art Director provides supports on assigned projects and works with client, account and creative teams to develop innovative, on-target concepts which are based on strategic criteria. This role will learn the science of the product and will see projects thru to final printed piece.

Some responsibilities include:

Senior Art Director

The Senior Art Director works with client, account, strategy and creative teams to develop innovative, on-target concepts which are based on client’s criteria within a specified timeframe.

Copy Supervisor

Successful candidate will be responsible for daily operations of assigned brands – brainstorming ideas, developing concepts and specific messaging. The Copy Supervisor works closely with creative and account teams, dedicated to creating work aligned with client’s marketing strategies and objectives, within specified deadlines. Must possess stellar conceptual and copywriting skills, knowledge of pharmaceutical requirements/terminology, along with the ability to present ideas and represent the agency.

Responsibilities
• Collaborates closely with art, editorial, strategy, and account departments to generate compelling copy for a variety of media for a range of audiences (healthcare professional, patient, and caregiver)
• Manages multiple brands/accounts, while maintaining the utmost quality of work
• Develops pharmaceutical copy that is clear, concise, and on strategy
• Creates strong, on-strategy concepts with the ability to lead a presentation to clients
• Collaborates with medical director to analyze clinical data and interpret product research creatively within the highest level of scientific accuracy; effectively synthesizes this information to create compelling pharmaceutical copy
• Actively builds client relationships by participating in market research, presenting creative work, and contributing to strategic and tactical development
• Ability to provide an agency recommendation to client using their knowledge of the brand and strategies
• Ensures creative work is produced to the highest standards of accuracy and quality control

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of copywriting experience, including experience in pharmaceutical advertising
  • 1-2 years of supervising experience
  • A portfolio that demonstrates a wide range of print and digital channels
  • Thorough knowledge of FDA requirements with respect to pharmaceutical advertising

Project Management

Freelance Project Manager

Responsible for managing the flow of work to ensure that projects are completed on time and on budget. Work closely with members of the account management and creative teams to ensure that workflows efficiently through the agency from the initial project brief to the point where it is released for production.

· Scheduling: Scheduling is a critical part of the traffic manager’s role. Project managers draw up schedules to ensure that advertisement production progresses efficiently through its different stages and completes on time. They issue schedules to each member of the agency team working on a campaign and provide key dates for clients to review and approve work
· Coordination: Coordinate the work of many different people inside and outside the agency. Discuss the scope of work, schedules, and budgets with the account management team to prepare a framework for planning workflow. Assess the production requirements, identify and work with external service providers, such as illustrators, photographers, video production companies and printers, who will be providing services for the project at hand
· Control: To help control workflow, use project management software. Monitor the progress of the project through different departments and external suppliers, and adjust schedules to deal with any delays or problems. Arrange regular projects status meetings to review progress and re-allocate resources to keep project development on schedule
· Administration: Set up administrative systems to help track time, cost and progress on each project. Allocate separate job numbers to each project and ask everyone working on the project to use the job number when they record their time or costs. Analyze the time sheets completed by team members. Issue purchase orders to external suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing or communications
  • 2+ years experience in project management at pharmaceutical advertising agency
  • Proven ability to communicate with clients and staff at all levels
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
